Dementia caregiving requires you to have knowledge and information on a subject that may be new to you at a time that you may not have the time or energy to research it.

We were caught off-guard. By the time that we realized our Mom was not going to get better and that she needed full-time care we hadn’t done nearly enough research to feel comfortable in our roles.

Thankfully there were two of us with occasional help from another one of our sisters and we shared the caregiving responsibilities with our step-dad. None of us carried the full load.

We realize that for many of you--you’re it! You are the one responsible for medical decisions, financial decisions, meals, housekeeping, transportation, and the list goes on and on and on . . .

You don’t have time to learn about the latest information and the symptoms that should concern you. You don’t have the energy to think of ways to keep your family and your loved one with dementia safe, well, and entertained. You are tired!
